Agriculture is a source of raw material for different industries in this world.

You may have heard about the medicinal plants. And thus, for making medicines a lot of plants are used and thus agriculture supplies them.

Clothing is hereby another important industry that runs based on the raw materials supplied from agriculture.(cotton is an example, silk etc)

These are just common examples but there are a lot of industries that are dependent on agriculture for raw materials. Rubber, latex, tea industry coffee industry etc

Employment Opportunity

The world has a lot of farmers, but still we require more. Whatever you want to become, but you can also be a farmer easily. Agriculture is a industry that provides you employment without interviews or entrance test for the post of farmers. Moreover now-a-days the concept of terrace farming and Genetically modified varieties have made farming more easier.

Besides farmers there are a lot of agricultural research institutes and the scientists working on making agriculture more efficient and sustainable and easier for us. Which is also a employment.

There are a lot of industries that help providing employment opportunities   that are dependent on agriculture. Like clothing, rubber, tea coffee, pesticide industries biotechnological industries etc.

So we can also say that agriculture is an opportunity.

Rural Development

Agriculture is an important sector where actually the rural society or population depends.

 So for the actual development of rural areas its important to develop the agricultural sector that consists of the farming population of the country. As most of the farmers live in rural areas and the development of the farmers is the ultimate development of rural society.

 As we know that 99% of the farmers live in rural areas. So the development of farmers and the rural development is directly proportional. 

                                

Revenue Generation and Economic Development

Developed population is developed country. More rich are the people more richer the country, wealthier the economy.

A lot of revenue in each of our countries depends on agriculture. Or we can just say that economies depend on agriculture a lot.  

International Trade

In this world everyone is unique, Every land is unique. The one part of the world produces Tea and the other part produces coffee. They exchange their products with each other. Be you are a small country or a bigger one a developed or a underdeveloped one but ultimately you export some agricultural products and import some as well.

Agriculture provides you the opportunity, import and export.
